Skin aging is a physiological process that starts around the age of 25, but which shows its first visible signs at around 40 with:
- a reduction of moisture
- thinning of the skin
- a loss of skin firmness and elasticity

Why does skin age?
The main causes of skin aging are:
- The decrease in the oxygenation and nourishment of the cells , caused by the aging of capillaries.
- Dehydration caused by the alteration of Hyaluronic Acid activity, which tones and hydrates the skin.
- Loss of elasticity caused by the skin relaxation due to the alteration of elastic collagen fibers.
- Decrease of the cellular renewal rate caused by the slowdown in the production of new cells in the germinative layer of the epidermis
